Summer Haze Cottage is situated within the heart of North Devons Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which lies on Devons North Coast, between Woolacombe with its two mile plus award winning golden beach, and the picturesque village of Lee.
Woolacombe holds the England for Excellence Gold Award for best family resort 1999 and was voted the best British beach in the Mail On Sunday 2000. Its beaches lie between Morte Point and Baggy Point, much of which is in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The main beach is nearly three miles of golden sand which has won both the Blue Flag and Premier Seaside Beach Awards for its cleanliness,water quality and facilities. A Walk to Lee Bay from Summer Haze Cottage
Just a few minutes stroll down Warcombe Lane from Summer Haze Cottage you will find yourself passing open fields with stunning views over much right-to-roam-land lying the length of the Coastal Path. On clear days much of the Gower and Pembrokshire coast of Wales are clearly visable. As you continue your stroll you enter the afore mentioned village of Lee with its beaches (at mid to low tide) and secluded coves. Here you will find time stands still, with its own microclimate, indigenous flowers abound along with tropical plants. The Grampus Inn, is a friendly 14th Century Pub serving home cooked food and cream teas, either in its quiet garden or cosy atmosphire within It is favorite with residents and holiday makers alike with children well catered for.
